A loud sound

The new Governor of Idaho was recently inaugurated and a 19 cannon fire salute was done in Boise, Idaho. The loud sound resulted in car alarms going off all over the city. There was quite a stir. A flock of geese were also stimulated flying into the air in the vicinity of the inauguration. I’m sure it was an exciting moment that everyone will remember. We’ve developed and enforced noise bans all over the country such that church bells cannot be rung.

What a bunch of wimps we have become. On the day of Pentecost, after the resurrection of Jesus, when His disciples were praying, a loud noise was heard of a rushing mighty wind. One hundred and twenty disciple of Jesus were struck with tongues of divine fire. They responded with loud speaking in tongues so that everyone nearby heard them praising God in their own individual language and were amazed. Some thought they were drunk.

I’ve heard some people say that the Holy Spirit is too gentle to make so much of a fuss. But, remember He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Get ready to hear the Lion roar.
