There was a report that in the Illinois state legislature a bill was introduced to place a $1000 tax on all owners of electric cars. The reason was to make up for the revenue loss from not buying gasoline with its tax. The people who support and encourage electric energy did not realize what may lose from its use. I’m all for clean energy and keeping our environment clean. Maybe we should use good sense instead of reacting to political jargon masquerading as science.
But, even scientific thinking has its limitations. To think that God may have a greater plan for our earth and environment seems to shoot past science. I’ve read the end of the book. Our world ends up like a garden with a river and tree of life in the middle of it. (Revelation 22:1-2) What’s more we don’t have to wait until then to begin gaining benefits from our walk with Christ.
I believe that there is an “Edenic Effect” working in us by the Spirit of Christ. When God’s people come together by faith and seek to do His work in the world, blessings seem to flow from it. Of course, the enemy will try to stop it by stirring our unbelief and doubts. However, hold fast to your confession of faith and you will see God’s blessing flow all over you and others about you.
