There are an abundance of scrub oaks in my yard. Or, I could say they
are post oaks. I understand that people used to make fence posts out
of them. Back to my thought, the oaks produce a lot of leaves and
acorns. I once said that if I was given a penny for each leaf I would be a
multi-millionaire or even a billionaire. All of this to say, I have a super
load of leaves and acorns which produce no benefits to me personally.
I have to rake and dispose of them.
So the leaves do not make me rich in money though I am rich in leaves.
Actually, I am rich based on the generosity of my giving as was the
church at Philippi according to the apostle Paul. He said to them, “But
my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by
Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19. So if you are a believer and follower of
Jesus Christ, you can give God thanks for His Provisions in His Son Jesus.
