Story telling......

My mother told stories of her childhood. Thanksgiving Day would not

be complete without one of mom’s childhood escapades. Story telling

seems to be a lost art. Describing an event required emphasizing

certain aspects of it that would allow you to see a picture of it in your

mind. It would make you feel that you were there.

People’s attention span is too short today. I watch people shopping for

grocery products for their thanksgiving meal and they have their cell

phones to their ears getting instructions on what to buy. Listening to

someone tell a story would be too boring and sleep producing. But, I

still like to listen to a good story and tell one myself.

There is a story of Jesus having a meal with 5,000 plus people and

preparing it with only two small fish and five loaves of bread. He

started the meal by giving thanks to the Father for His goodness. How

did He do it? It was a Miracle! And a good story too.
