There is a new Godzilla movie out. I remember some of the original movies in the early 60’s in which Japanese actors were reacting to a supposed monster created by a mutation from atomic testing. Their English words did not sync with lip movements. The monster was obviously an actor dressed in a dragon costume destroying a miniature Japanese city. It required a lot of imagination to enjoy such entertainment. Movies like this were usually seen in drive-in movies.
Now I know that preachers are not supposed to admit they ever attended movies, but I was young and not realizing my calling at the time. But, I did see quite a few movies over the years. The medium of films are just now being utilized as a Christian means to get the Gospel message out. The Bible has monster images all too real that would make a great movie: a great red dragon seeking whom he may devour. This is not a movie. It is a reality.
In Revelation 12:17 a dragon is described as angry and seeking to make war on those who believe in and follow Jesus Christ. But, remember, this great red dragon has been defeated and if you read the end of the book we WIN.
