Unexpected Fun

Writer: Wayne BlueWayne Blue

Christmas day was an unexpected fun time for our family. At

first we expected no one to be with us, so we planned to go to

a movie. But then several of our children and grandchildren

called to suggest we get together. So we did. We had a great

time eating and playing games.

However, I must warn you about the game of Monopoly. It is a

long game and will leave most of the players depressed due to

bankruptcy. There’s only one winner. We played other games

that everyone could win and we turned the depressed mood

into joy. Praise the Lord!

We joined with the prophet Nehemiah saying, “…Go your way,

eat the fat and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them

for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our

Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your

strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10). Merry Christmas and Happy New

Year!
