When asked, “What are the things that matter the most in your life?” I got a variety of responses from different people. Understand this was not a very scientific poll. In one group the idea of “God” didn’t even make the top ten. Someone finally suggested, “Spirituality,” which functioned as a ketch-all for whatever concept someone could have concerning deity or deities.
Ten years ago this question would have had numerous references to God, Jesus, or the Lord. I wonder who people call out to when they are in trouble, Government, family or their doctor. It seems that our culture has been indoctrinated to believe that God is not relevant to our needs. I call on the people of God, those who follow Jesus, to respond with a loud clear call: Jesus is the answer to all your needs today.
We, as believers, have the Good News, the Gospel that the world needs to hear. Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke4”18-19) JESUS HAS NOT CHANGED! You may call on Him today!
