Have you ever asked the question, “What am I doing here?” I had a similar feeling, if not a clear
thought today. As I walked down the hall a voice seemed to come to me saying, “You’re here on a mission from God.” OK. It sounded a little like the Blues brothers. After all, I am a brother of two other brothers named Blue, but the message was intriguing. Indeed, just what is that mission?
I believe that every person has a purpose for being on this earth. They may or may not discover that purpose. When a person comes by faith into Jesus Christ in salvation they get more than a ticket to heaven. They are commissioned to fulfill their purpose as a calling from God. In fact the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ begins to transform them into their calling and purpose.
The Spirit of Christ said to me, “It is the gospel of the kingdom of God.” We are by the new birth a
message to the earth of the Gospel of Christ. “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”(John 20:20).
